Who we are
Sketchplaining is a web service that turns a text idea into a short hand-drawn video. You can reach us at support@sketchplaining.ai.
Using the service
You need an account to create videos, and you must be at least 13 years old to use Sketchplaining. Keep your password safe: anything done through your account is your responsibility. Please don't use Sketchplaining for anything illegal, to create misleading material, to get around credits, daily limits or other safeguards, or to put load on the service.
Your content
The ideas you type in stay yours. We process them to make your video and pass them to the model providers we use (text, images and voice) as part of running the service. Everything else that makes up Sketchplaining — the service itself, the models and prompts behind it, the drawing style, the videos as they appear in the product, and the product name — belongs to us or to our providers.
What stays ours
You may not use, copy or distribute any content without our prior written consent. What you make with Sketchplaining stays available to you here: you can watch your videos, download them and show them to others.
What we generate
Videos are made by automated models. They can contain mistakes, they are not professional advice, and they are not a promise of a particular result. Please check anything important before you rely on it.
Credits, subscriptions and limits
We offer subscription plans and one-off credit packs, paid through Lava. The price and any taxes are shown at checkout. Credits for a video are charged up front, when we take the job into work, in the amount of the estimate for that video. If the finished video uses fewer scenes than the estimate, we return the unused credits to your balance; if the video cannot be made at all, the credits charged for it are returned to you in full. A subscription can be cancelled at any time and stays active until the end of the period you have paid for; cancelling does not refund the period or the credits you have already paid for.
Refunds
We do not promise refunds. Credits for a video are charged up front, in the amount of the estimate: if the finished video uses fewer scenes than the estimate, the unused credits come back to your balance, and if the video cannot be made at all, the credits charged for it are returned to you in full. See the section above. Cancelling a subscription does not return the money for the period you have already paid for.
Availability
The service is provided as is. There can be interruptions, and we don't promise that it will always be available, error-free or fast, or that it will meet a particular deadline or quality.
Ending access
To delete your account, and the videos that go with it, write to us at support@sketchplaining.ai and we will delete them. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or object to a particular use. We can restrict or end access if these terms are broken, or if the service is abused.
Changes
We can update these terms. The current version is always on this page, and its date is below. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you about it before it takes effect.
