What we collect
Your email address and your profile, to sign you in. The ideas you type in, to make your videos. The videos we generate and their scene frames, in our file storage. The history of credit operations. Payment details — the buyer's email and invoice identifiers — come to us from Lava. For anonymous visitors only, the IP address, kept to limit abuse; we do not keep IP addresses for signed-in users. In your browser we store the session that keeps you signed in, your language preference, and the cookies through which our third-party analytics services collect anonymised visit data.
Why
To create your account, to make and keep your videos, to show your history, to count credits and daily limits, to protect against abuse, to take payment and handle orders, and to answer your messages. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not send marketing emails.
Who processes it
Supabase (database, file storage, authentication), Fly.io (hosting), Google (Gemini text, image and voice models), Lava (payments), and Resend (service emails). Processing may happen outside your country, with the safeguards our providers offer.
How long
Your videos are kept for three months after your last sign-in. The history of credit operations is kept without a fixed end date: these are money records. When a deleted account is removed, its data goes with it. Support messages are kept as long as needed to answer them and to look into the case.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete your account and your videos, or object to a particular use. Write to support@sketchplaining.ai and we will answer.
Cookies
We use the mechanisms in your browser that are needed to sign you in and to remember your language, and we do not use advertising cookies. Analytics. We use third-party web analytics services to understand how people use Sketchplaining and make it better. These services collect anonymised visit data: which pages are opened, where the visitor came from, how they move through the service, device and browser type. Changes
We can update this policy. The current version is always on this page, and its date is below. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you about it before it takes effect.
